Protocols for work during the Covid-19 pandemic
The Covid-19 pandemic has changed a lot of things in the way we live our daily lives, and it has certainly disrupted your regular visits to the dentist. On March 30th. 2020, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Macedonia recommended that all dental interventions be postponed, with the exception of cases of an urgent and immediate need for dental care, in order to help reduce the spread of the virus.
The dental community, meanwhile, has undergone many changes, and now we are finally happy that we can return to a normal work routine. Although many things have changed, one has remained the same, and that is our concern for the safety of our patients.(Infection Control and Prevention) is always one of the top priorities in our practice and you have certainly noticed it during your visits so far.
The next time you come to our office, you may notice some changes that we have made in order to protect you and our team.
What's new?
The appointments and visits for an intervention must be scheduled in advance by phone (075-306-509, 047-254-528) or by e-mail.
Patients entering the office when entering the office should wear protective equipment for the mouth and nose (a mask).
Clear instructions for the patient's behavior in the dental office are set at the entrance.
Patients should leave all personal belongings (phone, purse, etc.) in a place designated for that purpose and disinfected or covered with disposable foil.
In front of the entrance, a sponge-cloth soaked in a disinfectant for shoes is placed on the floor
Patients who come without an appointment or before the scheduled time are directed to wait in front of the office.
Upon arrival at the office, we will measure body temperature of the patient using a contactless thermometer and determine the patient's health status (for example signs such as coughing, trouble breathing, shortness of breath or other visible symptoms that may be suspect of a Covid-19 infection)
After determining a normal body temperature, patients will have to wash their hands thoroughly and disinfect them with a hand sanitizer placed in the waiting room and toilet.
All items that cannot be disinfected (magazines, newspapers, decorations) have been removed from the waiting room..
The chairs in the waiting room are at a distance of at least 1.5-2 meters
Only one patient is allowed to be present in the waiting room with the exception of persons acompanying children under 14 or an assisting a person of special needs.
The patient should fill out an anamnestic-epidemiological questionnaire, as well as sign an liability waiver for intervention/dental treatment in case of a pandemic of COVID 19
The dentist and the assistant use protective equipment that is different from the one used in previous visits. It includes a variety of masks, face shields, gowns and goggles.
After the patient leaves the office, door handles, handles and other surfaces that are on the patient's path of movement are desinfected
Patients with indication for dental interventions with the expected significant generation of aerosols are scheduled at the end of working hours
In anticipation of our next meeting with you, we are here to answer all your questions about the steps we are taking for your and our safety in our office.
To make an appointment, please call one of our phones or .send us a message.
If you want to shorten the time to complete the Anamnestic-Epidemiological Questionnaire, and the Consent for Intervention / Dental Treatment in Conditions of CODE 19, you can download the document here and bring it completed during your visit.
